I've lived in Vermont since 1991 and have yet to go downhill skiing. However, I have been x-country (hey, did that when I lived in Ohio), and am very good at having controlled crashes.  I also have a pair of snow shoes, which I use a lot.  It's the snowy mountains that drew me to paradise.

...and here I am looking pensive in a warmer season--must be wondering if I should shave or not. I think summer fell on a Saturday that year.

But seriously, summer's also an excellent time in Vermont, and I have a couple of cool bikes: I've got a hybrid, which I ride a lot; I also have a mountain bike, though people at work ride it more than I do.
